Lalit Kalra

Lalit is independent legal counsel to the Firm. 

A seasoned litigator, Lalit’s practice focuses on family, criminal and civil litigation. Lalit started his career in criminal defence, before moving on to work as a Prosecutor at the Crown Attorney’s Office. Lalit subsequently clerked at the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket, where he saw first-hand how judges decide cases behind closed doors. Shortly thereafter, Lalit practiced law on Bay Street, representing institutional clients in civil litigation matters.

Lalit’s clients describe him as a “skilled and compassionate” litigator, who is a “class act” in Court.  At Pinto Shekib LLP, Lalit serves as counsel to the Firm on complex litigation matters, particularly in estates disputes with a heavy family law component to them.
