Sancia Pinto is a Lawyer, Adjudicator, Mediator and Co-Founder of Pinto Shekib LLP. She is recognized as a strong advocate with a broad civil litigation practice encompassing employment law; wills, estates and trusts disputes; insurance related litigation; and commercial litigation.
Sancia has litigated a wide spectrum of cases, ranging from wrongful dismissals to catastrophic injury and fatality claims, and she has secured millions of dollars in compensation for her clients.
Sancia also maintains an active mediation and arbitration practice. As a certified Mediator, she received her negotiation and mediation training at the Harvard Negotiation Institute at Harvard Law School. She is also a certified Adjudicator, having completed the Advanced Certificate in Adjudication through the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators (SOAR) and Osgoode Professional Development.
Sancia has served as a Mediator and Adjudicator with Tribunals Ontario, including at the Licence Appeal Tribunal, where she conducted thousands of mediations and issued decisions in complex disputes between injured accident victims and insurers. She has also served with the Condominium Authority Tribunal, the Administrative Penalty Tribunal and the Ministry of the Attorney General’s Court Services Division (Superior Court).
Beyond the courtroom, Sancia is committed to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals. She serves as a mentor and subject matter assessor with Toronto Metropolitan University’s (formerly Ryerson University) Law Practice Program (LPP), providing practical legal training and guidance to aspiring lawyers.
Sancia is an active member of the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, South Asian Bar Association, Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario.
Outside her professional roles, Sancia enjoys following real estate trends, traveling and spending quality time with her family.

- Patell v Patell – Counsel to the Applicant in a successful preservation motion before the Estates Court in Toronto, securing assets valued in excess of $1.7 million, pending trial.
- Lavides v Windsor Hill Non-Profit Housing Corp., 2024 HRTO 878 – Trial counsel to the Respondent, Windsor Hill, in a successful defence of a Contravention of Settlement Application. The Applicant’s claim was fully dismissed.
